I just bought some nice auxillary lights, now I have to find a way to mount them to the front of my '06.
I found a nice TJM aluminum bull bar but not for a '06. Anyone know of good looking way to mount some lights to and '06?

yeah, you can get an arb bumper and mount those nice lights on it.

I like the ARB but I've already got a diesel so I don't want anymore weight up front. Thanks ATXKJ, I will do something like KJmurphy did, that looks good. How hard is it to get that plastic bumper cover off?

I was thinking about buying this -- http://www.quadratec.com/products/12110_400.htm -- I think it will probably fit providing I drill some holes so I can bolt it down.

I was also talking with JHCRASH about making a custom stinger light bar, he said he would do it for 75 shipped. I am on the fence about it, still debating.

first of all... love the look of your KJ. love those fogs, not liek mine that are mounted on the front bumper... never liked the white, until you guys started putting those sweet black rims on them.

that being said, do not do what i did...Image
Imagei've got 4 holes that keep getting bigger on the front there!

i'd suggest doing to lightbar on top like many have done...
like this... http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=20952&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=roof+rails&start=0
i think a pair of lights mounted on there would look sweet!

I'm a surfer and roofing contractor so I have a surfboard and ladder on the KJ most of the time, no room for lights on top.

WOW! All depends on where you live I guess. I could drive around for 10 years up here in RI and still not have that many bugs on my lights...

haha thast not even bugs man.....come to SoDak and drive down Hwy 12 east towards MN if you want bugs. I swear you can see little tornados of swarming bugs when your driving and all you hear is splat splat splat. Bugs are the worse thing to clean off as well.

Hey - we drove across Nebraska - the whole front half of the car turned bug smash yellow - it was nasty.
