Hi,

I'm talking with someone about buying slush mats for the winter and I have a question: Have the mats changed from 02-04 to 05? I don't want to buy mats and have them not fit :!:

I am not sure if they have changed but if you are talking about getting the MOPAR sluch mats I have a better suggestion. I live in snow hell and I had the slush mats for two winters. They are okay but I switched those out for some mats from Husky. They are superb and a perfect fit . They don't allow even close to as much stuff i.e. snow, mud etc... as the MOPAR/Jeep ones let get on the floor. Similar price and way better for the money. I wish I had the Husky liners before. now my KJ has road salt and all other kids of winter treats embedded into its carpet!

p.s. If your are getting the slush mats used and for a good price then I think they would be worth it. They just let a lot of stuff get on the floor from the side and since it is so snowy and muddy here it was too much for the slush mats.

I will have to agree with Neatus, The Husky's will hold more, protect your carpet better, and are a little less expensive. you can ususally find'em on ebay for around 60 shipped.

The MOPAR mats are great if you live in a climate where the sunny is out every day and it nevers rains or snows. Seeing that you live in OH, I would recommend against the MOPAR mats.

I have some pictures on my Cardomain.com site that show the difference in coverage between the MOPAR and Highland mats. The pictures also show what happens to the areas that were covered--nice white road salt stains. Cardomain.com is down this weekend for maintenance so check them out on Monday (hopefully).

Recommend you look at the Husky or Highland. I'm sure you can find plenty of postivie reviews on this site for each of those products. I purchased my from Cabelas.com, but you can probably find them cheaper somewhere else. These are the mats I purchased:

Alright I found the front Husky liner here:

http://performance.speedycarparts.com/b ... randid=257 ( at the bottom )

I have a question though: would that come as a set or just the drivers side?

I have the Husky front (one set), rear floor mats (one set) and the rear cargo mat (one liner). They are awesome! The gray color matches perfectly with the Liberty light gray. I leave them in all of the time. I could not ask for anything better.

If you go with these you will not be disappointed! I found mine on eBay, the whole set for $100 shipped. Keep an eye out.

Christopher

Oh well, I'm not going to fret over a few dollars. Those are designed for 02-04 models too; I'm not sure if that will make a difference but I know for sure that mine will fit when they come!

I love my highlands in the 05. Check photos if you want to see. I need to get the mopar cargo tray at some point before I ruin the carpet back there - where's the cheapest place to get it?

I got mine from the dealership for $89. That's probably a rip off, but I wanted to have it quick so the carpet wouldn't get destroyed by lacrosse equipment.

I'm happy I went with the husky's; I'll have to give you a report when they get here.
