My low air pressure light on my 06 KJ is on. All the tires are at 33psi cold. How does the tire pressure indicator work anyway, if there are no wires or anything at the wheels, including the spare???????? |

Yes if all of your tires on the pavement are at 33 psi, then it is the spare as noted. I had that happen and then I checked the spare and it was low.. |

I had my light going off and checked all the tires they were fine. I aired them down and up but nothing helped. Took it into the dealership and they looked at it and told me there was a bad sensor, said it would be $50 for a new sensor and $100 for installation and a diagnostic to find out what sensor was bad. I told them not to worry the tire pressure system is not worth that much to me. But when I left the dealership I didn't drive more than half a mile and the light went off and has not come back on since. I think that some water got into the sensor and froze up (because I went through some deep water and shortly after the temperature dropped and stayed cold) and being in the dealerships heated garage thawed it out and it worked fine. I could be completely wrong but that was the only thing I could think of. So if your spare is at the right psi try putting your jeep in a heated garage for a while and see if that helps. |

Probably your spare. If the previous reply is not the problem, you can try retraining your sensors. If all else fails there are usually sensors on ebay for around $35 or less. As far as installation of the sensor, have a local shop break down the tire and you can unscrew the sleeve with a wrench (forgot the size). Then just pull the sensor out and replace it. Good luck! |

Dang, $100 just to install one?! I took all four of the things out of my rims in my drive-way in a matter of minutes. Couldnt imagine paying $400 for that job! |
