I placed my order for the 2.5" Daystar lift and a set of Skyjacker Shocks for the rear this morning. I got the KJ09115 - Suspension Lift 2 1/2" Front & Rear (Includes Front Upper Strut Plates, Sway Bar Bushings, Bump Stops & Shock Boots) from JeeperzCreeperz dot com.

Hope this is a good one!

You'll like it...it'll work just fine. The Frankenlift uses Daystar components and they work just great.

The only lifts I'd ever read to stay away from were the OTT ones like mentioned prior to this post and the 7-Up lift (long gone...search it) as well as some other company (dont remember the name of) that had bad customer service and instructions....I believe it involved a diesel...since the cradle is diff from the CRD to the gasser.

I've read a few post on the Daystar and the ones I've read, the owner seems happy. I don't off road as much as I'd like so I think this will work out good. I'll try and get some 'before - during- and after' shots and post them up as I go.

I plan on printing off the couple of write-ups that are here on the forums to help me install it. They look like they are very informative, I'll let you know about that too after I'm done :D

Haha, the problems on the diesel were the same company that made the 7-up! Go figure!

That's the famous '3" extended clevis' lift, not a bad (cheap) idea, but you need longer front bumpstops for sure.

On the diesel the inside CV boot got stuck in their clevis.

Anyway, 501 you'll love this lift. And it comes complete with everything.

Thanks Tony, I'm new to installing things like this, so I'll be printing off the write-ups from here to install it. So I'll let you all know if you did a good job writing it up!

It comes with pretty good instructions, only the pics are a little small. Be careful with those spring compressors!

Jeeperzcreeperz is a small place, so that may be the case. Just call and ask, they are friendly

Here's the one I ordered: http://www.jeeperz-creeperz.com/comfort-ride-lift-p-3972.html?osCsid=1b3478c19d5ff627d3eaaf3a7d594f71 I ordered it yesterday and they already shipped it and it should be here by Friday.

They only have it in black any more so ignore the pick box where you can pick black or red. Kevin has done a great job at keeping me informed on how things are going.

Thanks for the warning Tony, I read about Tommuds friend and I'm going to really watch myself when doing the springs.

heck thats a cheap lift  this would be imo the best way for anyone wanting to lift the KJ and doesnt wheel alot and/or going for a new look and dont want to spend a ton of cash. great way to get into modding your jeep.

That's why I got it. I'm not a every weekend Wheeler so I couldn't justify the cost of the better systems, but this will make my KJ look better and didn't hurt the pockebook.

Another thought I had is, if the wife likes the look, when this one starts sagging, I should be able to talk her into one of the better lifts!

It hasn't come in yet, but I expect it either today or tomorrow. I can measure it when the kit comes in though.

You found yourself one heck of a deal there 501, the Daystar price on the 2"/1,5" I got is the same!

And it doesn't matter what others might say, you can go wheeling with this kit and hard. I went on a trip last Sunday with a friend who has the OME kit and I could do what he did.

Mine also stands higher in the rear then his :D

The new front bumpstop is about 1/2 an inch longer than the original one, what I can tell from some pics I've seen.

Little of topic: Gotta do a clevis this weekend to level it out, the 0,5" difference now shows. That's not Daystar's fault, 1,5" is just the max it can take:

To all you pre lowered CRD's out there, do not get a 2,5" kit. You will have NO front suspension. The spacer will compress the spring way to much.

Well if all goes well, next weekend I'll be installing it. I didn't understand it, but the price was the same for the kit with the bump stops, sway bar bushing and strut plates, or without them, so I went with the one without all the extra stuff...... Yea right! I took the extra stuff with it!! I also picked up some Skyjacker shocks so hopefully I'll be set for a while. Figure I'll also add a 2-3 ring Clevis while I have things apart.

I did a write up on here for the Daystar lift, hope it helps you out while you do it.

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... highlight=

I have been happy with it, I don't wheel the Liberty it only sees things like forest service roads and deep snow. I love it. At first the ride was pretty rough, but after everything settled down it works great. I planned the lift and alighnment together. Make sure you do the alignment ASAP after the lift.
