Some berk reversed into me today and damaged my jeep, gonna need a new bumper and bent my A bar. The latter is going to cause me some hassle to replace like for like ,so that is a pi**er. Insurance company should be picking it up very soon but i need to try and source the same style bar, have emailed the place i got it from but there are none on their website i think recent changes in the law may have stopped them selling them.

Darn Jimmy, surely you can find something that will look good? Is it the laws in the UK specifically or all over Europe that caused the dealer to stop offering that particular bar?

The bar wasnt from dealership,it was from an independant supplier,i have emailed him twice but says he cant supply one due to the changes in the law. Bull bars, A bars, Nudge bars are illegal to supply from sometime last year, apparently when some nimrod steps in front of your car they cause more injury,Answer to that dont step in front of cars.So now i am totally pi**ed as i really liked the bar i can get a different type from flea bay but i dont like the shape or style ,so i am seriously considering selling the jeep after the insurance company replaces the bumper,as it just wont be the same without my personal touches .
I am a fussy git and wouldn't be happy driving round with a dent in my A bar it would drive me mad,and i am not aware of any technique to remove a large dent from 3" stainless steel tubing as there is no access from the inside.

You are a silly git. Don't look at this as a reason to sell the KJ. After all was the bumper the ONLY reason you liked the KJ?

Look at it as a reason to modify it all over again and make it BETTER. Don't give up just because of some silly little bumper.

There are no custome shops around that can fabricate soemthing? Can you get it from accross the channel?

Sureley there are options. Are the new bumper laws Island wide? Can you go to Ireland or what ever and get something?

Jimmy slow down. First I like to say I'm very sorry to hear this.

Second: is the bar totaly Fubar or is there just a dent in it?

A dent can be pulled out by a good bodyshop. They weld some studs to it, then get a 'reverse hammer' (sorry mate, no idea what that's called in English) pul the dent out, cut of the studs, sand and polish the bar and bingo: No more dent.

If its fubar I can probably get you this or the more beefy one that looks like yours: ( these pics are of the prototypes, the final product is polished bling bling )

Tony the bottom one is closer than anything i have been able to find but the gap between the 2 horizontal bars is wider than mine plus mine has lugs for the reg plate and discreet brackets on the top bar for spots,do you personally know the business that makes these? if so they may be able to re space the bars and add lugs if i sent measurements.

They are based in Madrid, about 500 Km away from me. But if needbe I can always give them a call if they do custom work...Any word on your A bar? Can it be fixed?

Here's the link to Promyges, they have loads of stuff.

Here's a UK based one, they have some nice stuff too
