Ok fellas (and ladies) I need to diagnose a sound and bear with me cuz I have no idea how to explain it with text...so please bear with me......
2005 Renegade 4X4.

First of all the sound in question "sounds" like its coming from the front end...im fairly positive its the front end.
Now ive taken it to the dealer..but as always, i cant get it it to duplicate when i need it to. For whatever reason it seems like it only does it when its fairly cold outside...right around freezeing(or colder)
The sound only happens when going over bumps like speed bumps or pot holes. When it started it would only happen on big bumps but now its more common over all bumps... LIke i said it sounds like its the front end and obviously since its when i go over bumps im leaning toward suspension issues of some kind...wether its Shocks or springs idk.
Ok now the sound is like a "creek"-ing sound. Really no other way to explain it. Idk maybe after some of you read and repost i'll be able to explain it better.

Thanks in advance.
Bryan

x2...just turn up your radio, or spray them with some silicon spray. Or drill and tap a hole and put a zerk in each of them and grease them up.

Thanks guys.
I dont drive it much..its the Wife's Liberty..so i just have to deal with her complain about it. Is it a cheap fix to have em replaced? We normally have the Steelership do all the mainteneance on it since its still underwarrenty. Just get OEM replacments? Or are there aftermarket ones that will last beyond 45K unlike these original ones?

What are the downfalls to these going bad? Is it dangerous for my wife to be driving it like it is?

thanks again
Bryan

I don't think it is dangerous at all, unless it is cracked or ripped. Just go down and visually inspect it.
here they are, replaced new condition:
