Well I spoke to the seller's of the EVIC and they said there is a buy it now price for the item which is $75.00 plus shipping which would bring the total price to $90. They item will eventually get relisted on ebay within the next few weeks. Is this a good price? I know that the 04 KJ EVIC is vehicle specific. |

90 is still not too bad for an 04 evic with shipping |

I believe it is year specific. However, i believe you can use pretty much any EVIC from a dodge, chrysler, jeep for and 02 or 03. |

According to the following post (don't know if this is accuarate or not) the above listed item was a 2002 EVIC (part # 4760145BF) which would "suggest" (no proof) that if it came out of an '04 Limited as claimed by the seller, it may have been retrofitted from an '02: http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/sh ... p?t=571225 There is too much confusion on the differences in function and interoperability year-to-year of OTIS/EVICs to make me comfortable. Everytime I get ready to look for one, I read something else and back off... |

I think the main issue is that in the 05 and newer model EVICs there is a differernce which precludes them from fully functioning in a 04 or older Jeep. Best bet is to keep an eye out for a same model year of the KJ you have but there is a little bit of wiggle room depending on your model year. |
