Post subject:  Plastics used on the KJ

Well just thought I would post the different plastics used on the KJ,found my little book from Chrysler looking for some paperwork.

1)Cowl and side mirrors------ASA(Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylite),molded in color,rigid/semi-rigid
2)Bumbers(F/R),flares,and outside door moldings-------TPO(Thermopolyolefin),molded in color or painted, flexiable
3)Grill------ABS(Acrylonitrille Butadiene Styrene),mold in color or painted,rigid/semi-rigid

I could go into repair for all but that's about 60 pages long.

What to apply for protecting the plastics? Or, anything to help the plastics live a long and healthy life?

Are there any good things to apply to the plastics....or any snakeoils to stay away from?

What experiences have people had with plastic protectants and condidtioners?

The Texas summer sun kills plastics pretty quick.
