I bought Mopar Skids today from the dealership. Here’s what I paid. I'm not sure if these prices are excellent, but the service guy usually cuts me a pretty good deal on parts. Engine Skid $66.00 Transmission Skid $42.00 Transfer Skid $42.00 Fuel Tank Skid $99.00 |

I could have sold you a gas tank skid for a whole lot less, though it's orange, dent free though.Replacing it this weekend for the Kilby while I bedline the F/R bumbers and roof rack. I don't think you did to bad,you paid less for all 4 skids then I paid just for the gas tank skid, which I purchased in march of '02,it was $278 alone back then. |

Pretty good prices. They gave you a discount. The tranny and t-case skids are $49 list and the gas tank skid is $109 or $119 or something like that. Not sure about the engine skid. I'm too lazy to check. Those are the list prices and you paid less. Good deal. You can usually go to the dealer parts dpt and order any Mopar OEM stuff like that and ask for a discount and get 10% easy if it is a good dealer. Just ask. The best part is that it comes in on the parts truck the next morning and the dealer pays for shipping no matter what it is...... The truck comes in every day with the normal dealer parts order anyway....... They come with the bolts and zerknuts and all. |

Congratulations. Now put them on, hit the trails and touch them all. You will end up doing so anyway at some point... Then you'll be thankful you have them. TL |

I know this has been covered a million times, but didn’t many of you recommend using carriage bolts to install the skid plates? If so, what size of carriage bolts? |

I just bought 2 of the skids and they came with bolts. Good prices from what I paid. Of course it took 2 tries to get what I wanted. R |
