I don't think I have seen another KJ with this style Mopar sliders. They are not like the Renegade style, but oval and uses m-bolts for mounting to the frame and body and came with NO instructions. Did have to drill holes but came out good and they have a flange in the middle of the rails for bracing as well as the ends. Anywho, here are a few pictures of the finished product.
Here are a few pics of the mounting...nevermind the stuff sprayed all over the mounts on the frame rails that is undercoating for extra sealing on the drilled holes.

Looks nice! They're aren't as overpowering in looks as others, kinda a low key look. Where'd ya find them, and how much did they run ya? |

These are not the round Renegade sliders. They are oval and thicker. Got them from jparts.com for $274 with free shipping. Pics of the mounting to come soon. |

They definitely have a nice look to them, not like cheeseball running-boards or such (not that they don't have a place...I just don't think it's on a 4x4 jeep). Definitely enough to stop that errant limb or piece of rock or wood from slapping your underbelly and making a big dent, but perhaps not enough to "slide" on. Questions: - How beefy are the inner bolts? They seem a little light for the task. - It looks like they have some adjustability in the tolerance to the body panel? - The outer attachment points don't look like the pinch welds. What are they screwed into? |

What are they screwed into? I do believe they would be strong enough to slide on considering the gage of steel they used. The box they we're packaged in weighed about 50 lbs.. Now true rock crawling...no, but I have no desire to do that. The inner hardware (on the frame) are 1/2" "m" bolts like the ones used for mounting the front tow hooks. The bolts attaching the rails to the brackets are 5/8". All are grade 8...well, the metric equivalent. There is slight adjustability at the mounting bracket to slider. The outer attachment points are to the area just inside the pinch weld, again using "m" bolts thru holes that must be drilled. |

Actually, I was thinking of the mounting that wouldn't be conducive to sliding (lots of things to hang up on). Good to hear the materials are beefy, though. Anyway, what do I know? I'm still playing with my garage door to get it to open wider so I can put on a lift... |

The brackets use the m-bolts in holes drilled in the frame and just inside the pinch weld. This is shown in the first and last of the 3 pictures of the mounting pictures above. |
