Folks, I have a 2006 Liberty. The power sunroof has stopped working altogether. It's the type of switch with auto open, a middle button to pop up the back of the sunroof, and a close (forward) button. The two switches for the overhead lights still work, but the sunroof switch is completely dead.

The fuse is good in the interior fuse panel. I popped the overhead lights and switches out of the roof and nothing appears out of the ordinary. It's no longer under warranty and would prefer not to go to the dealer.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue or if anyone could recommend what to check next. I have all tools and test equipment and I'm not afraid to dig into it, but thought I'd get opinions first.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Go ahead and test the switch.

Well...what exactly should I test. I have all the tools and a voltmeter, but probably should've mentioned not the knowledge. :)

Are you out of your warranty already?

I think, but not sure, that the Int. fuse only controls the power to the swithc and not to a relay. Chek the relay blocks and the other fuses under the hood. check them all. As i stated in the other post I had a friends trailer one day and didn't know he had a short in the wiring hraness. that thin blew 4 different fuses. took me forever to find them all.

Is there a fuse within the overhead sunroof control panel? My VW Jetta had a fuse in the fuse-box for the overhead controls, but another fuse behind a little panel right next to the sunroof open/close switch. When that fuse went out, all the interior lights and switches would work, but the sunroof didn't budge.
