Being from Detroit but living in Cancun, Mexico with my rig I just changed my oil at 50,000 miles with synthetic 5W-30 but the only choice I had was Motorcraft (They didn't have Mobil1 on hand). What do you guys think? At least it's 100% synthetic but has anyone else used Motorcraft oil? I'm hoping it will be okay since I didn't have many other options here in this third world paradise. Comments on Motorcraft oil please? Also changed out my air filter for $20 from the dealership.

You'll be just fine, all Ford vehicles leave the factory with MotorCraft oil in them, and if I remember right Valvoline makes Motorcraft oil anyway.

Thanks tj, I know the folks on here prefer Mobil1 (as I do) but was just looking for some positive reaction to my limited choice of having to use Motorcraft. Ford uses it so it must be cool for Jeep. Seems like they all are about the same anyway as long as the rig starts in the morn. 8)

I actually tend to always run motorcraft in my Jeep. I work at a Ford dealership so it's practically free. Even the synthetic blend is pretty good, you never get any of that gross white residue in the bottom of your oilpan or under the oilcap with it.

Motorcraft is probably one of the better oils out there. A very good "second choice."

Sould be fine, is it slimery? the oil that is. If not, then you will have issues.
