Yesterday as some of you may know I was off roading. I went through a mud puddle at about 5 miles an hour. I know that the mud sprayed up through the engine becuase it is on the hood and on the back of the radiator. Right after I did it the truck started to rattle. The steering wheel was shaking like crazy. Then it stopped and went home, clean off the cold air intake which wasn't really that bad. This morning I started the truck and nothing. About 15 miles into my drive it did it again for about a minute and then it stopped. Then I was at Burger King and it did it again for about 2 - 3 minutes. Did I hurt my engine?? I don't know what to do from here. Any advise would be more then welcomed.

Thanks

You just can't beat the original filter box design for keeping crap out of the filter.

What if some crap got on your sensors?

(in my opinion) you ain't getting enough HP to justify the filter you have over a K&N drop in. Youll find the filter area very close to the same size.

It could be something entirely different. Water can cause some funny stuff especially on electrical.

Well I figured out the Jeep today. It wasn't the cold air intake at all. It is the fan making the Jeep Viberate. All I am going to do is hose it out and my problem should be solved. Thanks to all the ones that helped me.

1st couple of times I had the KJ in mud, I couldn't figure out why, the next morning, it felt like the thing was on 6ply nylon tires on a cold morning. Took me a while to figure the KJ's rims like to harbor mud and when the mud settled and dried, well.. you do the math. I now hose off the wheels as soon as I get home now. Snow and ice will do the same thing...
