What are you paying for alignment costs? I'm ready to have an alignment after lifting my Liberty. Checked a few places (they tell me lifted Jeeps cost more) $119.00 at one place, the other place wanted $199.00. Still checking around. Aloha |

down here in oklahoma, at the firestone store, if you buy firestone tires from their store, you get a lifetime alignment for i think it was $85. the reason it's lifetime, is b/c of the stupid people out there that never get an alignment after the first one! also, i'm not a fan of firestone tires. no offense to anyone who has them. |

You can get a lifetime alignment at a firestone shop for ~$130. I don't have one but I've been thinking about getting it...seems like a good deal. |

an alignment is well...an alignment...lift should not make any difference. Tell those two shops to go rip someone else off. |

I love it when people talk about getting it at Sears/ Firestone etc for 130/200 bucks, I paid 45 at the local shop when I did my lift, they have since checked it twice and reset toe in once for NOTHING , so isn't that the same as Lifetime ? |

I paid $99 at a Merchants when they installed my new tires but that included free alignments for a year so after I rotate the tires back it goes for a check up! |

Is there such a thing as a 4-Wheel alignment for the Liberty? As far as I know, only the front wheels can be aligned. Am I correct? |

Yes the front is only adjustable on a KJ but they need to do a 4 wheel alignment to get all the specs on the front right, there's more then just caster, camber, and toe that needs to be checked and in specs. Also it's a good idea to get the rear checked to make sure the rear axle isn't bent or something back there isn't bent.

How often should it be done? I usually just do my other cars once a year, but this is the first lifted rig I have driven. I rotate the tires with every oil change but haven't had it aligned yet (been about 8 months now). It drives fine, but that's never a good indicator that something is okay. |
