Bushwacker makes cool looking fender flares. See these cut out flares for the XJ they make - http://www.bushwacker.com/fender.asp?make2=5&cat2=351&search=Search They don't yet make any for the KJ but if you click on this link (here - http://www.bushwacker.com/search_fender.asp# ) and then click on "Let us know here" at the bottom you can cast your vote for the KJ. The fender flares increase the wheel well opening to accomodate larger tires and wheels plus they look cool. Perhaps if enough of us want them they will make them for the KJ. |

I did the same thing sent them a question "Anything for the 02-07 KJ Liberty's yet?" If enough people ask, they might develope a product line for the KJ. |

I have done this MANY MANY times before. Nothing yet has come from them on the KJ's. If I held me breath, I would have been dead. |

If I held me breath, I would have been dead. If enough of us vote then it will happen. Companies sell products that are in demand. |

why would any company make an aftermarket product for a vehicle thats model has been discontinued? Maybe if they were making them before the KK was released they would continue making them until demand died out but I don't see them starting it up now. |

Drybones they make aftermarket products for the XJ,CJ,YJ and hundreds of other vehicles so the vehicle being dis-continued has nothing to do with it! IMO anyway * doesn't hurt to voice your opinoin to bushwacker! Josh |

Unfortunately I'm afraid that is the case unless we could create a block order of size. It's not worth the tooling and casts to cover a dozen or so KJ's especially since the KJ has fallen to the ranks of ORPHAN. Sad but true, and since historically we can't even get in one mind for a decal or metal "Trail Rated" plate. Then the possibility of fender flares is Over the Rainbow. No insult intended just stating fact. |

IMO anyway * doesn't hurt to voice your opinoin to bushwacker! Josh There are a lot more XJ's on the road than 02-4 or 05-7 KJs, and there's a higher percentage of modified XJs than KJs. Granted, the XJ didn't really get a whole lot of aftermarket love until it'd been on the market for over a DECADE...mull over that for a bit. |

yeah i agree, i just started loving cherokee's about late 90's, but i have always loved JEEP. hopefully in a couple more years the KJ aftermarket will really take off... hint hint Marty (rocklizard), because i will keep my KJ as long as possible. the only thing that would make me give it up would be if i totaled it. i have already pumped more money into my kj than i ever dreamed, and my g/f thinks i'm crazy, but i tell her just wait and see... (marriage is on the front)! |

If bushwacker could make a durable fender out of plastic kind of like the one on the XJ, I would totally buy them. Not my pic but something like this isn't half bad.

The flares would be somewhat pointless, especially in the rear. Take your flares off...even without them, when I flex the KJ out I can put my 31s right up against the door and upper rear quarter panel (not sure what else to call it), and the rear unibody by the bumper (it hangs down by the tire). A different flare can't change all this...you can cut, grind, pound, etc. In the front, the pinch welds need to be taken care for most 2.5" lift KJs on 31, and when going bigger I'm sure there are things other than the flares that need a trim job. Just cut your flares, that's what I did and now I've stop popping my flares off. |

Now if we should all pull our minds togther to requistion a set of quality fender flares. Let's go for the biggest bang for our buck, create a set of fender flares that would use a tool or like an old fashion roller skate key, to remove for off roading and at the end of play time reattach. If we are going to play the what if game, go for the full boat. |
