My front sway bar bushings are starting to make noise (I hope, it sounds pretty close to what my balljoints sounded like.. ugh) Anyway, how much are there, where can one get them, and how much of a pain in the ( Y ) are they to do? |

first spray some wd-40 into the bushings to see if the noise goes away. They aren't hard to change at all, just gotta undo some bolts on the brackets. I know daystar makes some, but probably pretty cheap through the dealer too. |

bushings or end-links? I'd suspect the end-links if it sounds like ball joints. Unless it IS the ball joints! Yikes! Jack it up and check 'em, just to be safe, please. |

I've been getting a clunk in the front that has slowly been a little more noticable as time goes on, I had thought it was the swaybar bushings, but, they are tight, and I have the same noise even when I remove the whole swaybar, so, its not that. Ball joints all seem good, can't get any movement in there, but, I have noticed that its fairly easy to move the control arms on their bushes, so I'm thinking the clunk maybe the worn control arm bushes.. Anyone had similar????? |

Try retightening the links. Upper 100 ft. lbs. - lower 85 ft. lbs. |

Dje Ryu measured the thickness of the sway bar (thanks again) and it turn out to be 1-7/32" which converts to 30.9mm. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=31230 So I found these (couldn't find one in inches) http://www.jegs.com/i/Prothane/311/19-1187-BL/10002/-1 I was going to give them a shot, see if they fit or not. They are greaseable poly bushings measured at 31mm. |
