Anyone know if it's possible to swap out the automatic transmission for the manual one without causing issues or spending tons of money to do it? Electronics = |

Go buy a complete manual tranny KJ have both sitting side beside in the garage THEN sell the automatic Most people will never follow through with this as it is a ton of work to do it right and WHY? Heck you can pick up a nice KJ for under 10,000 easy |

You could easily spend about 5K doing this swap correctly. New Transmission New clutch / pressure plate & flywheel New Transfer case and or driveshafts New pedal assembly New ECU and other electronics.... It's so much easier to just by a KJ with a manual already in it. |

I did this to my 79 Chevy Z71. Auto column shift to manual floor shift. Total cost = Somewhere around $2000.... but that was using entirely USED parts. And 3/5th's of it being labor. On the flip side, a friend of mine's bf had his manual RX7 converted to automatic for about $3500. Yes, he was a 'tard. |

79 Chevy had way less electronics on it than the Liberty, all of that must be taken into consideration |

^-------- Hence the price difference he's going to see. I was trying to give an example of what the cheapest swap vehicle example would be. |
