Thats pretty awesome. They probably own stocks in a gas company and it doesnt cost them a thing.

And I agree with tommudd about the kj but thats not the point of this thread. :)

I think about gas prices sometimes and I pretty much make peace with my KJ.

I typically use about 30 gallons every two weeks. That's 780 gallons per year. At $3.60, that'll cost me $2808/year in gas. At $2.99, my gas cost will be $2332/year, not worth losing sleep over.

They talked about this on the Today show this morning...
I am not really effected by gas prices... only $3.40 here in Oklahoma City, but in about a year, when i move out and am on my own... it might matter a little bit more!

I just ordered a flame red 2 door JK rubicon. I heard this and got all excited. Then I found it it was excluded as well.

What happens when gas prices drop and the good deal is no longer a good deal?

The problem is that most of the current Jeep owners are happy with their vehicles... This "deal" doesn't make me want to go from car payment free to Car payment + gas card for a vehicle with similar performance and mileage. Maybe I'm alone in this, but the current line up from Jeep isn't screaming "gotta have" anymore.

KK - great vehicle but I own something nearly identical
Grand Cherokee - The new design killed sales
Commander - It's supposed to be not for sale right?
JK - don't need that much off road capability
MK - It's too little for me, I tried one out already

So $3.00 / gallon for gas doesn't really scream that loudly

It is a gimmick to attract new buyers mostly...not that bad of an idea. It is like getting 15-20% better mileage at todays gas prices.

The fact that I've already committed to selling the KJ and getting a WRX. Sorry guys.

Add-on: And, conveniently, the Libby is paid for (in a month) and a same year / same miles WRX costs the same as Libby's worth (assuming I get a good deal). 8)

My Libby is paid off. I don't feel like going into debt again anytime soon.

And naturally this comes out a month after I bought my KK.
