you could just take the one off the hood and put a hood ornament on instead. |

Now that illz79 with only two posts thinks we are all a bunch of *#@*^ The chrome swan did go good on my long nose Pete when I used to drive around the U.S. Of course it was black as well...... Tom |

Sorry IncubusMike painted his black. Maybe he'll chime in and let us know how he did it. I personally like the look, but wasn't going to go through the hassle of peeling painting and relaying them, which is why I'm opting for decals. |

Well, I did paint mine like Daspes mentioned. I used a cheap bedliner from Wally World and hand painted them. It took 1/2 hour or so. I didn't want to bother taping them off so I just sanded them, and used a small paint brush to apply the bedliner. Worked really great. Make sure to sand and add quite a few coats. I have like 4-5 on mine. Nice and thick. I get very little chipping. If it does chip, I notice it is where I didn't sand as well as I should have. I just lather on some more and it only takes a couple minutes to touch up. 2006 KJ, I think it would look awesome on your red. |

These emblems suck to take off. When I debadged the fishing line cut through a lot of them, and when peeling them they just rip apart. Probably woulda been a different story had I heated them up. I bought a black touch up pen and planned to just paint mine. |

thanks for the help guys. i used to be into vw's and you could just buy a completely black logo, which after painting a few was a great time saver. so now that i'm in the jeep world, i couldn't believe that no supplier had them. i will most likely debadge everything or mess around with painting. |
