If so, what did you pay? If you had it installed by another shop, what did they charge you? I'm looking for as much pricing info I can get since I'm about to have a hitch and wire harness put on my Jeep. I'm moving at the end of the month and getting a trailer is going to be less than renting a truck and driving the libby. Plus, then I will have a hitch. Covering the suggestions I know I will get: I can't do it myself. I live in an apartment and I don't have the tools. I also don't know anyone who lives by me who has the tools, knowledge, or space to do it there. Thanks! |

you can buy the tools you need from walmart for $10, all you will need is a socket and a wrench, and it just bolts right up its real easy to do |

thats why i paid the extra 5 bucks or so for a wiring warrenty So if it gets screwed, they fix it, no questions asked But yeah, I got my wifes KJ wired and hitch at uhaul, and got my explorer hitch from them as well |

Got the hitch from U-haul and installed it myself, I recall paying $125 for the hitch. When I needed a wiring adapter installed I went to my local store and paid $18 for the adapter and got it installed for no extra charge. Three years later it's still working fine. |

U-haul is a hit or miss kind of thing I've noticed. Depending on the individual doing the work you could have a great experience or you could get some donkey that doesn't know how to trace a wire properly. The hitch is just a hidden hitch with the U-haul label on it IIRC and the wire harness is the standard 4-pin plug in unit that ties in under your cargo trim. Good luck |

i have a locking hitch pin kinda like this...http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Universal-Stainless-Locking-Receiver/dp/B000GOMW4C/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1213017296&sr=1-25 and the ends are rusting. can i spray something on the end that has no rubber cover on it (of course after cleaning!)? |

You have a couple choices (after cleanup): 1) Wax 2) Paint 3) Duct Tape 4) PowerCoated I have a similar locking pin. I keep mine in the cab and try not to leave the reciever attached to the hitch so that it won't rust. |

well since i have a hitch in the front and RL rear, I keep my Warn D-Shackle upfront locked and I need to keep a locking pin in the RL bumper so no one will put anything of theirs in there and lock it in. It's mostly a security issue for me I guess you could say! |
