So i just got pulled over for no liscence plate tag light.
No ticket, but he said if I were to have received one it would have been $180. Dang and Woops!
So i will be putting it on tomorrow hopefully. I just have to figure out how to ground the old wire b/c the past times i have done it, i have shorted the whole left side out.

ouch, I got pulled over b/c they couldnt see my tag but she just said get it fixed when i get a chance, but I havent had a light for a couple months now so im always hoping i dont get pulled over

Sadly I got nailed for this while road tripping with the wife last October. It was really late at night, it had been raining and the guy let all the speeders go by so that he could "inform" us that our license light was out.

I've seen so many vehicles without that light that I was semi-frustrated with the guy about it.

I've got a replacement setup that had only one wire. The ground is really the casing for that one, so I just had to make sure the metal casing has enough contact with whatever I mounted it on and ground it that way.

The existing OEM harness should have ground in it already.
