So on the install of the transmission skid, there is no words, which is normally fine, but I am trying to figure out what the deal is with the three bolts, and the whole first step. I am not sure how or what to do with these things. Can someone explain this step to me? |

I'm not sure how it works on the KK, but on the KJ, the tranny skid fit into two slots on the engine/tranny crossmember and there were two bolts to bolt it up to the tranny/xfer crossmember. required a couple of nutzerts to be installed. When I replaced my tranny skid, I drilled out the nutzerts, drilled all the way through the crossmember and used carriage bolts to attach it. I've seen the nutzerts come out when they are not properly installed. |

Thats what I can't figure out... How do I install the nutzerts? they are not very self explanitory. you know? PS, gas tank skid sucks stupid. I don't know if the KJ had this, but I would assume it was easier from the rear of the jeep. Was there a "skid plate look alike" holding up the gas tank? I gotta fugure out how to take that off without f'in up the tank. ANYONE HELP ME ON THIS. PLZ! |

That was what I was thinking, only I'm not quite sure on the install of the "nutzert" which from what I can tell, that is what the third bolt is for. So, anyone that has installed this skid, or knows how, help with this please. |

Your skid plates should of came with inserts and a insert installation tool. The tool has a bolt the same thread size as the insert and has a sleave on it. You screw on a insert put it in the hole in the crossmember that lines up with the skid plate tighten the bolt on the tool holding the sleave, make sure you hold it tight in the hole. |

Ever try reading the "destructions"(AKA-instructions)? The nutzert install tool and instructions should be in a little bag that came with your skids, probally got install tool per skid. |

yup, but they don't have words. and they are for the KJ. Gas tank is for KJ, not much help on KK. There is no way to hold up gas tank on KK while swapping out the support for gas tank, and putting in skid. I don't know what to do. PS, I figured out the nutzert thing. Those things suck. |

is there different size nutzerts? the 2 that came with my tranny skid seem bigger and more heavy duty than the ones that came with my transfer case skid (which I stripped 1 out |
