Don't ask me why she tried this. My wife used the remote on the key to lock up the Jeep and then opened the passenger door. Even though the plunger goes down when the lock button is pressed, the door still opens. The horn goes off but it does open. It is under warranty and I will, eventually, have the dealer take a look at it but wanted to get your thoughts. |

More than likely it’s an actuator. But if it’s under warranty I wouldn’t worry about let the sealership do that. |

cant be an actuator since the plunger still moves, thats what moves it. Sounds like some linkage is loose. |
