OK I replaced the headlighs bulbs (H4 in the UK) with EuroDezigns Xenon gas items and am delighted to report a ten fold improvement. They are much whiter and on main beam the spread and length of illumination is greater.

Second in the UK the running light is contained in the head lamp as well so I replaced these with wite LED units and again am thrilled by the change.

I want to switch to Amber wide angle 24 LED rear turn signal bulbs has anyone tried these yet?

I have tried three types of LED lamps, still none are as bright as the OEM bulbs. I got them off eBay, so will grab some pics of the ones I have tried.

Thanks n3qik

I sort of suspected that they are still not as good as OEM and I notice that the 3157 is a very bright bulb anyway in comparison to a PY21W so I'll hold fire.
I just like the BMW LED tail light set up on the new 7 and 3 coupe's looks cool.

Yep, factory LED lights are the best. I did manage to get some 4" amber LED's to work for DRL in the holes where the fogs used to be. Here is the link to that thead:

Now for the rear ???
Using the same type of 4" round LED's.

1: Mount them in the OEM lens, top will be stop and turn lamps, Bottom will be reverse lamps.
or
2: Top stop lamps and bottom turn lamps and mount reverse in the bumper.

Note, all of the above are illegal in my state. :x :x
