| Post subject: | What Lift is the best? |
I have been reading a lot on pros and cons to almost all of the lifts out there for the KJ's, suspention and spacers. The main con that I see is that lifting a KJ tends to damage the a-arms. Any input out there as to what brand lifts to stay clear of, and more inportantly which you recommend? |

You need to understand that not all A-arms get damaged.Frankenlift is probably the highest you can lift without much problem but periodically, someone will have a problem. The question begins: Did it occur immediately after lift or was it due to the type of off-roading someone does with their KJ? Don't assume because you hear people on here with problems that the lifts all cause problems. Frankenlift may be the best lift currently out there but the costliest. Rusty's is probably the best lower priced coil lift. Other lifts have been created that go higher but requires major mods to the suspension and not on the market. A 7" lift was created but the two people with it have had major problems. |

I have a Frankenlift and I'm wondering in what way would the lift create damage to the A-arms. The problem would have to be in the way the person wheels. Anyone have any experience with A-arm damage? If so, how? Ron |

Ron He may have been talking about the Arm contact with the spring at FULL droop. My Frankenlift does not suffer this problem although earlier SkyJacker lifts did. |
