I know on the wranglers its super easy, just connect it to the roll bar in the back, but where can I put this in the liberty without doing a lot of work to the insides?

Ditto. I saw a car on the side of the road in flames the other day and it really made me think about getting one!

I added one it the back of my KJ by the rear window standing up, and I just bought it at Wal-Mart for $13 and it came with the holder and I just used three 5/8" self peircing screws to hold it up and it works great...now I just hope I never have to use it :D

wherever you install it make it easy to get to, do not want to be running around opening other doors etc if you are on fire, as far as in the rear that maybe OK in most cases but what if you can not get the rear window open??

So you just mounted yours in the plastic moulding? Is it holding on tight, I would think the weight would be a problem.

I'm more thinking of the first responder idea, if you see a car on fire, or even something like a bush fire starting, anything like that, you have the tools and opportunity to help. Yes there is the benefit of saving your own life/vehicle, but I'd really rather not think about that happening :)

Maybe in the floor in the back, in the middle right after the console ends?

Well the window controls are high enough up I think it would be fine and not cause a problem for the passengers (lucky fools, they get to play with the fire extinguisher), and don't the vents go to the sides, ie the feet of the left and right passenger? I didn't think there was any airflow going straight back...

A word from my dad. "If your vehicle ever catches fire, what do you do?"
Me - "Call insurance. and tell them its on fire."
Dad - "Open all the windows and doors, and walk far, far away. A vehicle is never the same after it catches fire."

His car caught fire a long while ago, apparently someone helped him, and even after they "fixed" it, it always smelled horrible.

I mounted mine inside of the driver seat support. It's not the easiest to get out, but this way I wont kick it getting in and out of the truck.

Mine is a small Kidde B-C unit currently loose under the right front passengers seat. I have a mounting bracket for it that will be zip-tied to the inside floor posts so that I 'should' be able to just reach under the seat with my right hand, throw the release and pull it out. We will see how it works...

Mine's under the passenger seat. with a label on the door to let EVERYONE know where it is. That sticker gets more looks than anything else on my Jeep. People always ask 1) if I really have one in there? and 2) if I really need one?  I just tell them it's like a condom: Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. :D
