I had the jeep apart today to steam the carpets haad both seats out. Problem is I slid the seats forward all the way to be able to take them out easily. I re connected the power seat controls on the driver side. Nothing. I cant move the seat at all. it is basically against the steering wheel as far as it can go. At 330lb no way can i get in. Is there a way to reset them or manually move them back till i can find out what is wrong????

make sure all the wire connections are tight, I believe the wires go underneath a covering of the floor and there might be a connector in there also.

Can you adjust the seat height and tilt, or is the whole thing dead? I had a problem with my passenger seat where the motor to move it front-back burned out, but it would still move up and down and tilt. If your seat's completely dead, it sounds like a bad connection. I assume you've checked for bad fuses? There's no way I know of to manually adjust the seat position, sorry. Good luck!

Check the fuse too. Water from the steam cleaner could have possibly gotten in the connector and shorted it. Not likely, but too easy to check to not do it...

Thanks for all the help with the troubleshooting. I was able to figure it out, thought about everything i did and realized i forgot to disconnect the harness on the bottom of the seat when I first took them out pulled and puled and then realized it and disconnected it. When i looked inside of the harness i realized that one of the 4 prongs attached to the wire was shorter than the others i pushed on that wire and reconnected the harness and sure enough that was the problem. Always makes me feel better knowing I can get some help on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad it worked out. That would've seriously cramped your style.
