I'm getting some rear end noise and a clunky vibration through the seat when accelerating and turning from a stop (at stop-signs, lights, parking lots etc.).
Skipping or hopping around a corner is a sign that the rear tires are locked together at the same speed. A Limited Slip Differential is supposed to act as an open differential in turns to allow the outside axle to spin faster than the inner axle while in a turn. When the axles are locked together the outter tire can not spin faster and causes the inner axle to bind and hop to relieve the twisting on the shaft.
If this is something you are experiencing, than your mechanic did not put friction modifier in your rear diff and you are experiencing accelerated wear because the clutch surfaces are not soft enough to release like normal. I would really have the fluids re-changed and verify that there is the proper amount of FM in the rear axle.

The truck also has a pronounced and immediate pull to the right upon hard acceleration. When you let off, you can feel the truck settle back down to the left.
Was this symptom present before the fluid changes? I'm not quite sure what would cause that at the moment.

What are the symptoms when your LSD starts to wear out?
As the clutch material disappears from the disk, the plates will just slip and spin freely returning your differential to a regular open unit as mentioned already. This is not the cause of your issues.
