Post subject:  light bar part numbers

My Renegade light bar arrived yesterday - with the following missing (for ease in determining what items are missing, I will refer to the items by the letter given to them in the following Mopar instructions http://site.justforjeeps.com/guide/82206126AB.pdf )

items missing : B, C, E, G, I , K, O, P
on the plus side, all the wiring was included :D

Please help me figure out part numbers and/or what I need to buy!

Most of it looks like it could be had at a hardware store but since they didn't list sizes on anything it's kind of hard to say what you would need.

That's why I was really hoping that someone who had done the install might have some idea of what I need to pick up, rather than me just guessing (which never works out well)

Did you buy the whole kit or just the lightbar....

AFAIK all those parts you are missing are sold seperately.......look in the parts fiches and you should find them there.

I bought the whole thing from a member here who bought it off ebay (or something like that) - member was unaware parts were missing since they never opened the plastic bags in the box.

Not a huge deal, but a bit of a pain to sort out. Heck, from the diagram on the instructions, I can't even tell what a couple of the parts actually are

Check out the parts department at a dealership. Theres a jeep dealer on 90 in Glencoe ( just north of willow road on the west side of the highway )

There's one down the street from me (just south of Tower Road next to the Edens Expressway - wait, that's probably the one you meant :D ) that I'm going to go to - but some times their parts guys are idiots :?

Contact TonyCRD, he just installed one, maybe he would know.

B & C I found at a local TrueValue/ACE hardware shop. "I" are just plastic wire ties. But I'd check with Tony, he should be able to help.

Here I come to save the dayyyyyy :D

B is a 10mm exterior / 6 mm interior nutzert, sorta lika rivet but holds thread for a 6 mm bolt or stud.

C is the 'free' MOPAR nutzert fitting tool, you don't need that you can just use a long 6mm bolt and a nut.

E are the MOPAR fitting bolts, these hold the light bar on the roof. You don't need those either, buy regular 6mm bolts

G you do need these, actualy 4 of them, they hold the plastic top cover on the light bar.

I tie-wraps, available in any hardware store

K is shrink wrap, you use this to isolate the wires, see pic 31 in the manual

O + P are the socket for the LED. If you have the lightbar thingy already in your dash you don't need this.

K+O+P should be taped to the wiring harness in al little plastic baggy..( maybe not there ).

Ok, here's my howto and the howto on the dash:
