My KJ threw the P1281 engine code so I am going to replace the thermostat and so I bought a OEM replacement and they said that it is a 195* but I want to use a 180* but I dont know how to get one and was wondering how I go about getting one.

thanks!

There is no 180 degree t-stat for the KJ,only 195 degree, trust me I have been looking for 4 years  .

Anyway the 180 degree t-stat would really screw up your system, mpg's would go way down and you would most likely have the CEL constantly, the same P1281 code as you have now most likely.

Most of it. Youve got to take the lower hose off so you will at least loose everything in the rad and some of the engine block.

Not tried to find one yet for the kj but Ive got one in an I-6 and its doing great. Gets better mpg than my 3.7 does. Good thing they killed it.
