I recently had my battery changed at a local garage and after the install the key fob no longer works. The key fob battery is fine. The service tech said I need to take it into Jeep to have everything reprogrammed. Is this correct?

Instructions should be in your operator manual on reprogramming your remote. You might also be able to download them from the internet.
