 Post subject: NO buS, guage cluster dead, but vehicle runs OK......

Yep, that happened to me this past weekend. Drove 140 miles with no instrumentation, and all idiot lights illuminated. NO buS was illuminated in the odometer Window. I had been using cruise control before this happened, and simply hit "resume" to continue on.

The culprit.....The air bag sensor wires under the passenger front seat were frayed and shorted. Seems the harness can get pinched by the seat rails. I soldered three new wires into the connector, and all is running OK now.

It is on 05 with 67k on the clock.

Hope this might help someone in the future that might chase some issues.

Thats interesting.........I wonder if the PCI bus runs through those few wires........
