I have noticed over the last few weeks that this site is getting slower and slower.

Home and at work.
Home I am on a T1 line and at work, I am on a 1GIG fiber
I know it's not an issue at work. Maybe this site is getting larger with the number of users or the file is extreamly large now.

glad you asked. I have noticed the same thing and other sites will work fine when I am having issues here. Seems especially slow when I am adding a post, takes forever to finish.

I think it's definitely the site. I'm on fiber optic at work and get timed out many times throughout the day.

It's been slow for me at work and at home. I takes a while to add a post, so I just refresh the screen and it goes faster. I've always been able to log on though.

Yeah, I was goin' to mention somthin also. I've had the site not even load on a few occasions, get some kind of error.

I feel it the most b/c I like to tab browse alot, so it's nothing for me to run down the forum and open 5 topics.

----

Edit.

Lmao, as I hit submit I just got this! Plus a double post.

Friday I had issues not being able to access the forums but I thought maybe is was just the stupid Windows PC @ work. Guess not. Yesterday (on both our faithful Mac's utilizing Comcast and either FireFox or Safari browsers) the site was very slow, but today seems to be back to norm.

Btw, if you post and it bogs down, stop the page from loading and access the same forum from the beginning. You should find your post here. And if you should double post - as long as you check your last post, and you see that you double posted, before you post again, you have the option to delete the last post. If you do this, there will be no double posts. At least that is what I experienced the one time I caught a double post.

edit: nope, the site now seems to be running slow again.

The admins are looking into this. I know that if you have a lot of unneeded PMs stored in your message boxes, it slows the site down. So time to clean out all the old messages you don't need or want anymore. Maybe that will help.

I keep my PM box clean. This was mentioned as a fix last time we had this slowdown issue.

I have issues with "view post since last visit". I've been with out electric due to Ike for the last 3d ays, hit the recent posts button, and get ..."no values match your seach criteria" plus it's very slow for me too.
