Does this sound familar to anyone. Everytime that I go to gas stations, no matter where it is, the fuel over fills before the auto shutoff trips. I make sure that I put the handle in all the way pump it like normal. This only started more recently. It aslo does it at every gas station I go to, not just one. I have never had this problem in any vehicle that I have ever had. I am sure some of the great minds here know something.

 This used to happen to me too.

I now just stand there holding the gas pump handle - making sure to fill up slowly. If I do it this way, the auto-shut-off still works, I get a full tank of gas, and the gas doesn't overflow. You might try this too. It should work.

Nope. Not for me, and not on the two KJ's I have either ... might be something the dealer can fix?

I did this the first time I filled up my wifes the other day. It clicked off so I tried to squeeze that little extra in there like my Tahoe. No go, spilt it down the fender, I learned not to push it, comes right up to the neck before shutting off. I asked my wife and she says yeap, when it shuts off, it's FULL!

No trouble here, unless I am trying to squeze that little extra in....

Better watch-it.I used to own a Tahoe and overfilling the tank could eventually fill the float that controlls your fuel guage.

My KJ won't take any extra at all. When the pump clicks off, it is stuffed full and does not spill any. If I try to force feed it any more, the jeep just spits it out back at me.

My car however will take almost another gallon after the pump clicks off.

It must be one of those "jeep things".

If I do not listen to how close the gas is to the top of the filler neck and slow down when it gets close, the Jeep gets a wet fender. When mine clicks, it is full. I have tried to get more in there after it clicks, but I just wind up spilling a whole lot more on the ground than I would have gotten into the tank.

I always allow the auto shutoff to do its thing. Never had any sort of spill/overflow with mine.

I get spill over every once in awhile, hard to call when it is going to happen but it will happen once then like 2 other fill ups and then it is fixed for while.

I just deal with it.

Mine has spilled over a couple times but its been awhile. I usually watch it very closely if Im going to try and put some more in after it kicks off.

If you know me you know its hard for me to not tie that thing to my hitch and drive off after it does that.
