I did mine in the summer, parked it outside for about an hour and they practically fell off with some floss. Turn the Jeep around wait another hour, repeat. Another method would be to use a hair dryer and do one letter at a time. I left my 4x4 badges on.

If you have a plastic card (like a credit card, library card, gym membership card, drivers license), you can use that. That's how I did mine. The adhesive under the badging isn't super strong. Just take your time - wedge the card under the badging and apply some pressure. When I did this method, it took most of the adhesive off too, without doing a thing to the paint. Any additional adhesive can be removed with Goo Gone. :D

The letters come off quite easily. The glue from the right side LTD emblem still ever so slightly there.
Ran just "bert" for a month before that came off. 4X4 stays on the sides, and the back stays the same.

All vehicles I've ever owned, I just used fishing line. Use something w/ higher test. Thin stuff will break easier.

Just get all the gummy adhesive off, and toss on a coat of wax so that you won't have a 'ghost' image of where the badge was!

I debadged mine today. I used a Scoshce plastic trim tool to take them off very easily. Then some Goo Gone and elbow grease to get the vast majority of the glue residue off. Then a quick wash, and some Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. Even after baking on there for over 7 years, you would never know it came with any badges. Now I just need some of the LOST KJ Trail Tested badges.
