Currently i have the 225/75-16 tires on right now.... am i able to use the 235/70-16 tires or is the rim on the jeep i have now to small for the 235/70-16 tire??

Should have no problems fitting 235/70 on your Jeep. They came stock on some KJs.

yes you can easily fit 235/70, mine had 235/70 AT on it when I bought it

same, my renegade came with 235-70-16 goodyears, i upgraded to 245-70-16 with no issues, they fit fine on the stock jeep hieght

also no. The 16 is the rim size so a 16 will fit a 16 (too a point, have to watch the width of the rims/tires as well) but not a 17. 225/235/245 should all fit on the same rim.

on a side note, go over to Tirerack.com and look a tthe specs page for a tire. You can see all the diffferent measurementrs for each tire size to do size comparisons. I believe the 225/75/16 is the same OD as the 235/70/16 but the 235 is a bit wider.

I have 235/70R16 on 8" Moab rims and they are a snug fit, so on stock rims should be fine.

BTW, the handling is awesome on the wider rims with more backspacing.
