Blower Recall

I'm sitting at the Jeep dealer waiting for......A WINDOW REGULATOR! Imagine that! Anyway...they said there was an open recall for the blower. Maybe this is old news...dunno. Figured I'd throw it out there as an fyi.

who qualifies for this recall? all years?

Yes my blower was replaced under recall in January. I am not sure what years etc were under it as I also have an 06.

i believe it is only 2006 model year. i've had mine done.

Same with me. They replaced the blower motor while doing one of my regulator failures.What is weird though, is now when I put the blower on speed 4, it mixes in cold air even though I have the temp all the way over to hot (red). Who knows, maybe the new one's are screwed up too. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't experienced the cold air yet, but the new blower "hums". That's the best I can describe it.
Heck...my window sounds like it's cracked open at the top even when it's all the way up since they put the new regulator in. I've looked at it and can't see anything out of place.

My blower works fine and it did before as well. They told me the recall was because the blower motors were defective and could catch fire if not replaced. It should not effect the other operations causing cold air to be mixed in. I would go back and have them fix what ever they did to it.

that sounds like a blend door problem, not a blower motor problem

the blend door is in the dash somewhere and its the piece that regulates the hot and cold air when you turn the temp dial. if you turn it all the way to hot but its blowing cool air for periods of time it sounds like its not sealing properly

Yes, that sounds like my issue, not the blower itself. It is just strange that it only does it at the highest setting. Gremlins maybe...Thanks for the info
