| Post subject: | Tire Pressure gage light |
Last week my Tire Pressure gage light came on. Stopped by a tire place and they checked my tire pressure. The light went out. Now 3 days later the light will flash like 9 times and stay out. It happens like every 20 minutes. Does anyone know what this problem might be? |

thats a good question, mine was on when i got it(new) so I checked them, and like you said the light went out, now 1 month later, its back on... but mine doesnt blink. Also I'm curious how the light will deal with over sized tires. I guess as long as its the same air pressure it shouldnt make a difference. |

My 06 renni started that today ( 5 blinks every 10 min). I checked all 5 tires, still no joy. ( i found out later that the spare isnt on the monitering circuit. there are only 4 signel pickups) I checked my 06 KJ service manual. It said that that the intermint blinking light was a system falt. I am off the the Dealer Mon to have them check the falt code. Skymech |

Hello, i believe since the winter months are among us the temp drop fluctuates causing the tire pressure to go up and down. Cold = less pressure, warm = more. The tires hitting the street will cause them to heat up a little making the air expand within, the tire on the back won't heat up and will prob cause the light to go off. I just had the same qusetion asked by a friend with an H3.. Thats what i think is happening anyway, but I' m no expert..Anyone??? |

Thats what happen to me... changes in temp. cause the light to come on...checked and all tires were down a few pounds... needs to be right at 33PSI for the Renny's.... no problems now... Some people like to overinflate tires to the spec of MAX PSI on the tire... but thats not the correct driving pressure.... Must be 33 PSI ... just check the door... Or you have a problem... Good Luck Mike |

Good Luck Mike They don't NEED to be 33PSI, the lights come on if they are under a certain pressure (IIRC 10%) or if they are off by a few PSI from each other. I run my stockers at 35 PSI and no light ever. |

Mine was blinking due to my spare. When I got new tires, it was on constantly. I was sure it needed recalibration. I checked tire pressure and found the tire shop had only inflated me to 25 PSI. I aired all four rolling tires up and it went off, but would blink occasionally. I realized I didn't inflate the spare when I inflated the other 4, so I inflated that one as well and now the light hasn't come back on. I don't think the statement that the spare isn't in the monitoring circuit is true. If it has the gray valve stem, then it has a transmitter. Otherwise, how would ths system compensate when you rotate your tires? |

just went through this twoo days ago, temp dropped to 8 degrees and got the flashing light. checked all four drive tires and they were fine, the spare had dropped to 26 lbs. filled back to 33 and light has stayed off. |

Mine has been doing this for a couple weeks too. Took it to the dealer. No error codes showed up. They recalibrated the tire sensors and charged me 20 bucks for an equivilent tire rotation. Drove 2 blocks down the road and light came on again. Took it back. Sat 1 hr. They drove it and the light would not come on. Told me to bring it back if it does it again. been blinking all weekend so will be going back monday. This is annoying. Email DC to see what they have to say. Randy |

Just got back from the dealer. They had to drive it with the code reader hooked up to catch the tire warning light to pop up. They caught it. Bad sensor right front. Also, after some bitching, got my 19.99 back for the BS charge for them to recalibrate the tire sensors before. At least this is a success story. Randy |
