| Post subject: | Pre-Lowered? |
I see alot of people writing that there Liberty is pre-lowered. I am wondering how I can tell if my Liberty is pre-lowered or not? |

only early 02's were pre-lowered (I think Apr 02 was the cutoff) - everyone else is lowered ~ 3/4" shorter springs. (a Magazine editor ran one of the initial Liberty's on an Autocross course and rolled it - Jeep freaked and chopped the springs to make it more idiot proof.....) |

KJ's built prior to April 2, 2002 are "pre-lowered" - your build date is located in the driver door jam near the latch. Mine for example is 09/01. |

so if you dont have a pre-lowered liberty and you put a lift on does that mean that you get 3/4 more than what it says? |

If you replace springs - they're all the same since that is the pre/post change. The one thing I've never understood was whether the 2 1/2" limit on Liberty lift came from the prelower or lower measurement. It's been my experience that the more you 'idiot proof' something - the better idiot you make |
