Like everybody, next to the gearshifter on the passenger side. I have a little Cobra 19 that slides in and out of its bracket real easy, I fitted a cigar lighter connector to it for power and I store my antenna cable in the glove box. Now you see it...now you don't. No wires nothing. |

I mounted the cb on the side of the shifter also. My mic clip is on the dash below the left center vent and left of radio. If you would like photos, I can get them to you. External is tucked in the corner of the dash on the passenger side. |

I just finished my CB install. I mounted mine to the bottom of my glove box, pushed almost all the way to the left while sitting in the passenger seat. I also took off the stock antenna and mounted a heavy duty ball mount in its place. I use a 3' firestik with a spring as well. I used a splitter so I could use the Firestik as an AM/FM antenna too. I wired the CB into the fuse box, hooked into the rear constant plug outlet fuse. Love it so far. Going to tune it this weekend. |

Mine's under the seat as well but, I don't have an ext speaker. When I need the CB, I have the radio off anyway so I can hear it just fine without the external. The mic is mounted on the side of the CB... easy enough to get to when I'm doing 4mph. I'm gonna be taking it all out to use in the J10 til I get the SAS on the KJ done, though. |

Well, if you do not have the trip computer, the mount for it is under your headliner, and you can mount it on the roof out of the way and easy to access.

![]() I thought about this location but I can't stand the mic cord being up there. I use my visor a lot and it hanging down when in use would annoy me. I mounted my my directly to the left side of the dash next to the stereo. I generally have the stereo off while off roading anyway because I wanna hear the noises my jeep makes going over things. So the tunes are silenced and the CB gets turned up. |

the cord annoyed me too, so I got some 550 cord (parachute cord) and tucked it up into the roof light and wrapped it around the mic cord to tie it up. Then the slack mic cord is wrapped around the CB mount knob, so it all stays out of the way now. |

how cool would it be to take the front of the cb apart and extend the connections running to the controls? then you could mount the box under the seat or whatever an integrate the front control panel into a flush mount somewhere, wire up an external speaker and hang the mic near the control panel. now that would be cool. ok, now somebody that knows something about this go ahead and try it! |

Didn't know you were that flexable Tom! volume is easy up and down, controls are right at the front edge of the seat, channels I count up or down depending if I have to change them , never looked when I had it mounted over head in the Peterbilt either just counted, extrenal speaker is also under the seat and pulled out on long trips or off road, out of site , out of mind. Of course mine is a big old Cobra 29 LTD WX that has been peaked and tuned, some Galaxy parts added so over 10 times the normal power of a regular store bought |
