Check this out guys.
Yesterday I had to be at work real early to do a server upgrade before people came in to work.
There is the idea of this store.
I bought new tires last week and was going to mount them on my Moabs and put them back on my KJ. I have my stock alloy rims with bologna skinz BFG AT KO’s. (They were once made of rubber) and I was going to get them replaced this Saturday. Well, I had a blow out on my front pass wheel. Almost L.O.S.T control. I was only 1 mile from home. I put on the spare, (another bologna skin) to get me home. I took the new tires and my Moab rims down to the tire place down the road. (NO PROBLEM) come back hoe to put the new tires and rims on the KJ. No problems, it was 18 degrees and I had a slight cold. All was fine until I get to the LAST FREAKING RIM. 2 of the lugs were F-BOMBed up. Called AAA and not AA although I should have called them too. They could not get it off. I called my friend at the Jeep dealership and he took care of me in like 5 mins.
So now I am almost 6 hours late for work, I am tired and cranky. I had a fun day.
I got my moabs back on JEEPZILLA and looking good again. Except I had to remove the lift…..

I hope some one here gets a good laugh from my story.

Bummer, I hate days like that. It reminds me of that 2 hour ARB bumper install I did....over an entire weekend because nothing seemed to fit right. The important thing is now the KJ looks bad @$$ and you didn't lose your job :lol:

haha, seems to happen to everyone. Last one I had was a few weeks ago. Was about 100 feet from my apartment and got rear ended. Then later that night at the WVU vs Auburn football game I got puked on, someone on the top deck, to my head. :shock:

Then the next day, I went in Ohio (536 to woodsfield..clarington TOMMUDD), and was on a 40 mile bike ride, wiped out in the gravel.

BTW, just so happens that I'm accepting donations of frankenlifts..... :twisted:

Brian.....crap happens but I am glad you got new tires and your Moab's on the jeep.

I had a beater Lincoln spare car once a long time ago running baloney skins and suddenly developed a real bad shimmy that felt like the front end was coming apart and then blew the right rear tire. Always thought that was strange how a broken tire belt in a rear tire seemed to affect the front end. The steel belts had broke and came through the tire. They ripped into my hand when I took the tire off. Ouch....Yea, it was really worn out. So when I put the spare on it had about 10 pounds of air in it. I stopped at the 7/11 and used their air pump and the spare had a leak too. Figures......I barely got the pig home. Put new tires on it. Since then I try to make sure I have good tires.

what are you running on the Moab's to make them fit under a no lift KJ?

Moabs will fit on a KJ with stock suspension with 245/70/16 tires. You will need to pound the pinch welds and modify the fender plastic around the fog light access door in order to MINIMIZE rubbing. I still get rubbing with mine after doing this but it is nothing that cannot be tolerated and only occurs at full lock.
