Motive Power Bleeder

Need to get my brakes bleed. Anyone ever use Motive's Power Bleeder??

Looks like the Chrysler P/N 0103 is the one that fits. Can anyone confirm this?? Runs for $60, not a bad price. Great reviews on other forums on the net. Anyone know what the max PSI our Liberty is rated at??

I have that same one sitting right here next to me,haven't used it yet but it is the right one for the KJ.Just pump it to 20psi and bleed away,the instructions are printed on the bottle.

Thanks. What a good brand of brake fluid to use? How many quarts will I need?

I use Napa's DOT 4 brake fluid,DOT 3 is the lowest you can go in a KJ.I bleed at least 1-2qts through when I bleed my brakes,bleed the most(3/4 of the fluid using) through the R/R brake since it is the farthest away.

I use this ( for many years now ), not as pretty as yours but same idea. Connects to a tire for pressure.

Small tip: I suck the old fluid out of the container on top of the masterbrake cilinder first. Fill that with new fluid, then flush/bleed the system.

That is a neat product. Don't think I've seen it here in the states. Thanks for that tip Tony. No use in bleeding all the old fluid into the system.

I used a pressure bleeder on my brakes, a cheaper brand and it works great. You only have to keep an eye on the reservoir as you vacuum out the fluid starting from the farthest line.

D'oh!!

Somehow, I lost my brake reservoir cap and without knowing it I drove my Jeep. :shock:

Thankfully, none of it spilled out. Now it sitting in my garage without a brake reservoir cap, just thinking here sitting of all the moisture the brake fluid is absorbing is making me cringe...!!! :shock:

LOL!!

Anyways, I guess this is a great excuse to try out this Motive power bleeder. Also spend another $17+tax to buy a new brake reservoir cap from the dealer!! Grrr.....
