Well, yesterday my KJ was officially replaced by a JK Rubicon Unlimited. I will always be proud of my little KJ and the obstacles it overcame. Not to mention being part of something so great as the LOST community! But alas, the lure of topless, doorless cruising, of solid Dana 44's locked, and a 4:1 OR transfer case, not to mention MYGIG, voice recognition, and TONS of aftermarket support was all just too much for me to resist. Did I mention they make it in orange now? Black Friday turned Sunburst Orange for me! http://photobucket.com/Rubicon |

Welcome to the JK club! Picked up mine last week, still have my KJ though, and I'm loving comparing the differences and similarities. |

Sorry to see a fellow Light Khaki Reny owner go to the dark side....especially with the basic same CB mod. You can come wheel with us anytime you visit Colorado, Adam. Even with the JK |

Did I mention they make it in orange now? Black Friday turned Sunburst Orange for me! http://photobucket.com/Rubicon looks good and although the first one I saw in this color I did not like the color is really growing on me. Would like to do an all white or all black one though, have some ideas ( after the Liberty is done) Can not wait to see you take it to the next level, which I know you will! Tom |

X47, I'm going to have to live vicariously through guys like you and Daspes to get my topless jeep fix. What a great platform to start a great jeep build, even the color is great. |

Thanks for the kind remarks. I do love this board; so active! Moderators: yes, please trim the fat on this thread so that other read past the bickering. The JK: yes, it needs a lift and bigger tires, espeically for the breakover angle. And the steering radius is not as good as the KJ. But as I crawl around underneath it, i'm in awe over the beefy items. That transfer case is as big as a transmission! The drive shafts are thicker than my thighs. And I can't wait to get the roof and doors off! Oh, and for the record: "A Jeeps not yours until you drill that first hole in it!!" Let's just say It's MINE! (I installed the Mag light in the JK just like we all did in the KJ. Looks great!) |
