LOST JEEPS :: View topic - 2009 Jeep Jamboree(s) any one going ?

i always thought they were a bit pricey. especially since they charge by the person instead of vehicle. so if you have a family you're really screwed.

I agree in a way but then I have heard that the extras you get evens it all out??? Not sure ???
for me I don't have to worry this year as my "Jeep Jamboree " will be spent cruising around Tanzania in my wifes Uncles ....JEEP.. :lol:

my father and i normally take my jeep or his and head to the jeep jamboree in Bradford PA (pennswoods) always an outstanding trip.. if school permits this year we might head to the one in KY..

Always thought it'd be fun but does seem a lil pricey.

How bout this....everyone drive up to WV and pay me $295 bucks. I'll show you some nice trails and cook you dinner. :twisted:

Six new sponsors increase your chances for scoring some loot at a Saturday night prize drawing. DynoMax, Rancho, Mastercraft, OR-FAB, Trail Master and Performance Accessories are exciting additions to the 2009 season.

The upcoming season also brings with it a few changes in the way we run our trips. First, event days are now listed as Thursday through Saturday, instead of Friday through Sunday. Registration will continue to happen on the Thursday evening before the trip begins, and this change will help us to clarify the trip schedule. In addition, due to low participant turn-out, we are canceling the Sunday breakfast for the Classic Jeep Jamboree events.

In our continuing effort to keep Jeep Jamboree trips affordable, we regret to announce that we will no longer be providing free T-shirts, pins, and plaques. We are striving to trim costs in these difficult economic times while still keeping our trip prices the same. For those who don't want to say goodbye to these items, a limited number of them will be for sale at a reduced cost ($10 for shirts and $5 for pins and plaques) during trips.

I didn't get anything but a sticker and T-shirt. Then got invited on a night run by the host club, so that was worth it...

I wanted to do a jamboree last year but it just didn't work out for me. This year I am going to plan four - five days vacation time to attend the 14th Northwoods July 23 - 25 in Crandon, Wisconsin. I want to experience at least one Jamboree. Oddly enough I received another email today from jeepjamboreeusa, and will confirm my reservation right after the holidays. And fwiw, I will be lifted and ready to run by then!

Guess what? There is a free one just around the corner. It is the LOST event right where they are having one of those Jamborees, Ouray, CO. You won't have to hear idiots put down your KJ and its abilities, you will have trail guides and spotters that know how to spot for a KJ, and you will have a darned awesome time.....for free.
