***Edit***
I called the dealer and they said they called mopar, and that mopar can order the part special and have it sent to this dealer and that it would take about 3-5 days to arrive. Body shop said they would do it. Sounds like this may work out...
Incase anyone was wondering, the part number is 5GE72CD7AD - Cost is 132.80
For the reflectors, the part number is 4399791 and they are sold individually for 11.30 each.

I really like the export rear bumpers, if i can find an image of one... with the lisence plate on the spare tire. Does anyone know a cheap way to get one to the states, and would it fit my 05 renegade?
Thanks, Sean.

I missed the pre-edited version. So the differances are the lip that runs along side the bottom, the lack of a place for the license plate and the reflectors? Would you have to reuse your original black plastic piece that goes along the top?

That'd be a really cool bumper if it had a license plate spot...

the license plate goes on the spare tire, there is a mount for that, but i might just fab my own so i wont have to buy the mopar one.

yea but the mopar cover that you speak of only holds up to a certain size tire (not sure of that size limitation). Maybe you could screw it to the bumper, might look do the job. Woud be a shame if it covered one of the reflectors though

I thought you were talking about a bumper? I cant see how that boot suit thing puts the license plate on the spare?? I'm confused!

Evidently the posts are about a bumper (I missed the first part so I'm lost on that score). BUT In his pic I saw the ad/photo of the "BootSuit" which is sort of like the rear cargo trays that fit the Libby and are made by various vendors, Jeep among them. I like this one because it folds flat for storage. That's where the confusion was I think.

Also I think this is the rear he is talking about with the plate on the spare tire cover:

Do they make the spare tire license plate holder for an American shaped plate? What is the maximum tire size it will accept?

Yea, im not sure exactally what the boot suit is, but i found the pic on ebay. Anyway, Without purchasing the spare tire plate holder as of now, i am curious as to a temporary solution to where i can put my plate. I was thinking of fabbing something up that would fit ontop the wheel, and then i could just bolt it down with the lug nuts. But i have never welded before, ill have to talk to some of my buddy about that one.

Did you find the part #'s for the the corner pieces of the bumper? If not it will probably look a bit goofy with that crease running the length of the bumper then cutting off. I like the idea though and I'm definately intrigued if you can find part #'s for that and a spare tire mounted license plate holder. I'll start looking too.

Is there a site I can get on to look up OEM part numbers?

you can fit up to 245/75R16 with a bit of trimming

and a US size number plate will fit,

also there is wiring to consider as the lamps that shine on the plate need power

Okay now I'm excited ..

How much do you think it would cost to get this done at the dealership?

Anybody else thought about snagging one of those fugly plastic Land Rover spare wheel cover? covers only the wheel, has the raised flat area through the middle (horizontally)

should be able to screw a plate to that easily, and it shouldn't be terribly expensive from a junkyard.

I tried to get one of these, and since its for a European model, I was told the dealer needed to justify and get an import lic. to do it. I also tried to get the euro lights with the turn signals built in to them (Libertor). Again no go. There is a hotrod shop that sells headlights and turn signal combination. Why is this important, well, front bumber mods, you don't have to worry about the signals.

If you get one let me know!

Also FYI, the wiring for the Lic. Plate light is in the tailgate (at least it was there in my 2002).

Good luck with the mods!

Al

That sounds complicated; all I did is call and say i want it, they called me back (after calling MOPAR) and said ok.
