Ok the troubles and trials, for some reason the power locks die one day, won't work from either the door or the remote key. Second the radio looses power on random occasions, dies for a while then pops back on with the clock and presets reset as though the batter were disconnected. I haven't noticed any other problems except these. The truck is still under a dealership warranty, after taking it to them about 7 times and costing me a fortune in gas "troubleshooting" it. They finally come back and say it's a bad BCM. They're going to replace it but I trust your opinion more than a dealerships, if it's a bcm is should effect more than just the radio and door locks shouldn't it? Anyone have any ideas, or are there other things i should look at for failures? |

I know some '02 KJ's had BCM problems,never heard about any other years having problems but that does not mean it can't happen.If there going to fix it under a warrenty type deal at no cost to you I'd go for it,can't hurt. |

well I'm going to make them repair it regardless, yea it can't hurt. What I'm wondering is, are there any subsidiary systems that could be affected that i should check / have checked. I've never worked on jeep electronics specifically, but in know electronics problems can spread like a virus through a circuitry system. |
