Anyone ever gotten into the details of making the liberty all-mechanical? I have the KK and the lifetime warrenty - I got into that setup with the hope of keeping the vehicle on the road for a good long time (20+ years). However, if Chrysler were to fold, or reneg on the warrenty, how impossible would it be to re-engineer the vehicle to remove the ECM vunerabilities and make it completely user-serviceable?

Not possible with your engine/trans/and t-case in your KK since they all are run by electronics.Heck you don't even have throttle cable, just a electric motor operating your throttle. Not to mention the SRS sytem,ABS/ESP system are all run by computers.

Anything can be done with enough $$$!! But you will have to swap out your current drivetrain/engine. IMO, not really worth it, just get a CJ.
