did you do a tune up soon after the Seafoam treatment? If not replace the plugs, but then I have noticed some gas I use now makes mine a little rougher at idle |

Not sure about everyone else but I have always done the Seafoam and then a few days later do new spark plugs, kind of fiqured that with running the Seafoam thru it may knock some stuff loose, get it cleaned out and then do a new plug change |

It is highly advisable to change plugs after putting something like seafoam through the vacuum line and direstly into the intake manifold. |

I had rough idle issues a little while back. Seafoam solved the problem. I did change plugs a few days following the Seafoam. |

Yep, always change the plugs after using something like Seafoam. I use the Amsoil Power Foam and then Amsoil PI in every tank. Performance Improver http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/api.aspx Power Foam http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/apf.aspx |

Since you just installed new plugs prior to using the Sea Foam and it was running fine after the treatment untill lately, I would attribute the rough idle to bad gas or the Winter gas. Try a different brand of gas and run a tank of mid grade 89 octane through it and see if anything changes. Just my 2 cents. |

As tjkj wrote it is a good practice to change the plugs after you run any cleaner thru your manifold.Keep in mimd that any deposits that are cleaned from the system will burn during combustion and the possibility of small deposits to burn onto your plugs are high. not enough to cause damage but it will result in a rough idle. Back in the day we use to run Gumout thru the fuel lines into the carburator, the kit use to come with a small hose and a fitting to screw right into the carb, we always did it before the tune up, and if it was done without the vehicle needeing one we changed the plugs right after. something to think about. |

okay... need a question answered soon b/c i need to do this within the next hour... I put the seafoam in my oil, just like i am changing my oil, then put it into brake booster located just to the right of the brake resevoir, and then the last third in the gas tank? then i drive it around to make sure i get all the gunk out, and then change my oil and plugs correct? |

1. Pour 1/3 into Brake Booster (larger hose) vacuum line. Then start the procedure. 2. Pour 1/3 into crankcase (where you add oil). 3. Pour 1/3 into fuel (gas) tank. Here's Seafoam's video if you need or want to view it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D11ZVYwj ... re=related Wait a day or two, then change your spark plugs. As for changing your oil, this is a good time to do so if needed. Enjoy the smoke show! |
