Hey, I am trying to make a signature that has a link in it. I tried just drop an href in but it shows up as source instead of interpreted by the browser... whats the trick with this BB for doing it?

thanks

Use the
Code:
[URL]text of link[/URL]

Or, click on the URL button on the top right corner twice, and insert the link address in the middle.[/code]

click the "BBCode" link in the options section when posting a reply. It will pop up a help on BBcode screen (this site)

Despite the fact that it says "HTML is ON", it's NOT on, and for some reason doesn't work. Also, BBCode links and images will sometimes inexplicibly fail as well, if the link doesn't look to phpbb link an image or link, it will just make it text. Best bet is to preview first until it looks right.

Two options JediJeeper:

If you just want an http listing to link to the site it lists, type "[url]" enter the actual URL of the site you want linked to, then type "[/url]'. The "[url]" listing marks the begining of the link and the URL with the / in front of it stops the link.

If you want some text to link to a site, like "Dog_Domain" does in my sig, then type "[url=" enter the actual URL of the site you want linked to, then a], then the URL text (what you want listed on your sig, like "Dog_Domain), then "[/url]"

After looking at your source, I think this is what you were shooting for. Copy what's below and put it into your sig. Delete the eight quotation " marks, submit changes, and it'll work.

"[url"=" "http://home.comcast.net/~jedijawa/"]"My Libby SFA Project"[/url]"

By the way, nice Project KJ!!

Thanks all, I knew it would be some trick like such... I just must not have looked hard enough and the methods that are used on some other bbs that I have used didn't work :-)

Thanks!
