I want to get a set of AL's A-arms because I'm sick my UCA's contacting my springs. I'm reading on his site and I see the generation 3.5 and the 4.5 A-arms. Besides 85 bucks, what's the difference between them.

Generation 3.5 are the old style with a press in ball joint
Generation 4.5 are the new style with a bolt in ball joint and I think a lot stronger as well. lot of difference in the way they are made.
Get the 4.5s , have them on mine and helped install another set on another Black KJ last week

Thanks Tom. I definately want the bolt in kind. I have the money for them, now I just have to convince myself to part with 400 bucks.

Ehh, it's just the left rear nut/bolt that I hate. The rest aren't too bad but, that ONE is a complete pita.

I think the lengths are the same on both of them but the ball joints are WAAAY different. Either way, it costs more to replace them with oem parts so it's really a win/win with Al's arms. cheaper AND better. But, only if you're lifted. ;) They won't work on a stock height KJ but you'll love them on your Franky lift. Definitely get rid of your spring contact.
